A recent report showed that email marketing currently accounts for about 24% of revenue for digital marketing, but only accounts for 17% of spending. Search is the only medium that trumps it with 38% and 43% of revenue and spend, respectively. The report also showed that many young people still see and interact with promotional emails they get. 76% of males and 73% of females between the ages of 18 and 34 open and read promotional advertising. Email marketing is changing, but it is not becoming a dead format of marketing.
