Facebook's new Professional Services local search test has been live for about a month and is not receiving very much promotion on Facebook's side. There have been no official announcements or blog posts. At this point, they are not ready to fully integrate it yet as they haven't put it into the mobile app yet, though it is accessible through Facebook on mobile browsers. They have also announced that they new plan on making this an entry point for users, which means that it will likely not become a rival to Yelp or MyTripAdvisor in the near future. If they do decide to fully integrate their local business search feature, it will challenge the two aforementioned services as well as create more incentive for the 50 million businesses on Facebook to become or continue being advertisers on the site/app.
