How to Track Your Data Studio Reports in Google Analytics
Create a New Google Analytics Property
From your GA account admin screen’s Property dropdown, select “Create new property”
Adjust property settings and save
Default url = datastudio.google.com (i.e. not your domain)
Create a filtered view within your new property from the raw (original) view to exclude internal traffic and spam
Add Google Analytics Tracking ID to Data Studio Reports
Open the Google Data Studio report you want to track
From the file menu, select Report Settings and enter the Google Analytics tracking ID then switch back to “View” mode
Verify Data Studio Reports are Tracking in Google Analytics
Open your Data Studio report, go to the raw view of your Data Studio Google Analytics property’s real time Content report:

Create a copy of the following template and connect your Data Studio Google Analytics Property as the data source
To create hyperlinks to the reports within the table calculate a custom field for “URL”:
