As people are becoming more mobile and access to the internet is available virtually everywhere, the demand for advertisements to reach consumers at the right place and time is growing. The Google Display Network (GDN) has expanded its range of tools in order to improve the reach and timing of advertisements to satisfy these growing demands for programmatic advertising. AdWords has added Audience Insights, which gives more detailed information about demographics, location, age, etc. Google is also focusing on making the GDN 100% viewable so that advertisers are only charged for their ads if the ad is actually viewable and not below the fold or at the bottom of a page. They are also adding dynamic remarketing to that ads are automatically resized and reshaped to fit the device they are shown on.
