FAQ: What We Know About The Yahoo-Google Search Deal — So Far

As I'm sure you have heard, Yahoo and Google have decided to make a search deal. Yahoo has the ability to decide when they want to use Google's organic or mobile search results and their advertisements on their own platform. Yahoo and Google are both looking to increase their revenues and they believe that this deal will do that for them. The deal took effect on October 1st and will last until December 31, 2018. Organic, algorithmic, mobile, and desktop search results are all part of the deal and it will take place in North America, parts of Asia (including India), Australia, New Zealand, and parts of South America. Europe is not in the deal, likely due to recent legal actions taken against Google in the region and the deal can be terminated due to a large number of reasons including a government body taking action against the agreement.
